Banner exchanges typically require you to place code on your website to display other company banners. Like traffic exchanges it works on a reward point system. Your banner will be seen on other websites according to either how many times your site displays a banner or how many times the banner is clicked. This is typically a free to use service also with options to purchase more points if required.

These are a variant of both Traffic and Banner Exchanges and are often much more effective in a shorter period of time. Backlinks are often known also as inbound links. The biggest advantage of a backlinks the assistance to increasing your website ranking in the search engines. This is because your website link is seen on hundreds of sites on your behalf. This is done by 3 methods. 

1. Posting your link in forums, on emails, on blogs etc etc.

2. 2 way links the other 1 way links. A 2 way link involves you placing code on your site that provides text links. These are available via free sites dedicated to backlinks.

3. 1 way links you don't need to place code on your site at all leaving others to promote your business on their site via link services. 1 way backlinks from a service provider you will pay a small fee for.
